The demons, they are on their way out,
The past is now a forgotten blur
My city’s unrequited kindness has taken its toll
I find no need to afflict,
No need to find solace in revenge,
No need to respond in hate
All I need to find is peace, love and patience in the arms of friendship

There is rationale to this madness, some method that we appreciate but not know
Common knowledge of the gods that we must wait to understand
Emotion clouds reasoning, to comprehend the events of the past
I find no greater reason to move on…

Acceptance brings healing; all it takes is a little time and good thoughts
One thing I know, greater the pain and sorrow, the circle of life has me
An eager disciple, for I am willing to learn
And it’s in these moments; you treasure happiness and know its value
And then Life hands you beautiful reasons to thrive and live

To find a quiet place within my heart, my soul and in my dreams
Change will take its course, and lead me on
And as I take flight, on this journey of mine
I say a prayer and leave behind the brokenness and pain
To bigger, better and brighter times…
