If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we’d see the day, that nobody died
Lyrics from the song ‘If everyone cared’ by Nickelback which came to mind when I looked at the life and work of Bilaal Rajan.
A young Canadian boy who, just by making cookies, hand-made decorative plates and selling oranges, rallied young Canadians to raise funds for UNICEF to provide medicine, food and other forms of aid to countries in dire need.
He is the youngest ambassador for the UNICEF ever, and has raised over $ 5 million for various causes.
Bilaal Rajan has now written a book, “Making Change: Tips from an Underage Overachiever” which documents his thoughts on his journey as a kid in making change, and seeks to entrust those secrets that he used in his life, to his peers.
The book emphasizes Bilaal’s goal which is to empower at least a million kids in the next three year to discover and utilize their true potential in order to make a change in this world, change for the better, through love, having fun and making that change NOW.
Incidentally, the lyrics written above are from a Canadian band also, which covers a similar theme... that it takes only one person to make a change in this world.
So, feel free to visit the webpage makingchangenow and get a copy of Bilaal’s book if you wish, for a better tomorrow.
